Slot Consulting uses the E-OCM methodology in its validation activities. Validation basically refers to the question: is a new concept is useful? By answering the question: “are we building the right system?” during an early phase of the development a lot of problems can be clarified at an early stage of a project. Validation is clearly different from testing activities where the question is: “are we building the system right?”
Via having operational knowledge (pilots, air traffic controllers, airport and handling experts) on board, Slot Consulting can manage or support workshops where expert judgement are given on a new concept, system, solution. Not only the feasibility is analysed but also suggestions are given on the possible solutions for the issues identified.
